I really like Firefox Beta's new "Panorama" feature. It has a button that when clicked, shows groups of tabs as boxes that you can move around and rename. You can also see previews of the pages in the group.
I wonder if there is anything like this for virtual desktops? It seems much nicer and more organized than just having numbered desktops and buttons to switch them.

It works thanks to Compiz Fusion, and you can make many good looking Gui changes to your Desktop.
The Ubuntu 10.04 or 10.10 has those effects in Gnome.
