Is there a way to add Nautilus Elementary on Ubuntu 12?

I have tried using the PPA to get Elementary but it doesn't let me use them to this version of ubuntu.

Is there a way to get it by a deb file or do I have to get it from source?

If anyone know of a site to download the whole thing or even comes with additional instrutions please comment below.

I'm sort of new here on the forms but I do know my way around linux but its not enought to do a whole alot.

The project was abandoned, so it's no longer available. Not even as source. The older versions won't be compatible with Gnome3, which underlies Ubuntu 12.

oh I se. Also I got rid of unity completely and used another desktop environment.

I always woundered why it became abandon. Its such an awesome little file manager better than most of the ones I've seen.
