hello i am getting a problem..i have windows xp & Centos 4.3 on my computer...now i tried to install windows again but after putting Cd of windows & booting from CD the first screen i.e. "setup is instecting your computer hardware" comes & ..nothing comes after that....i give a command from console of linux i.e. mkdosfs -c -F 32 -v /dev/hda1...this command format my C drive but still i am not able to install windows again....i had the same problem when i had installed FC5, FC6..it makes hard disk not to install windows....& then i had formatted my whole harddisk....this time i don't want to do that...so plz tell me some solution i have checked on net also but nothing is there.....
I'm not sure this will solve your problem, but you could try gparted (perhaps use the check function?).
I've been using gparted to create an partition on my hd to install winxp, and I haven't had any problems so far.
