Installer freezes on every Linux distribution that I have tried to install.

Hello. I need some help with an issue i am having trying to install Linux as a duel-boot with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I first tried to install Ubuntu 12.04 and I was able to get to the welcome screen, and when I click next the installer freezes completely. I then tried Kubuntu and Xubuntu and had the same issue. I downloaded the alternate install CD from Ubuntu's website and tried to install with that and it freezes completely after language selection. I then tried CentOS, Linux Deepin, and Fedora 17 and still have the same freeze issue as soon as the installer starts. i have the following hardware

Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth p67
Processor: Intel Core I7
Graphics Card: EVGA 580
16 GB ram

I have not tried installing the 32 bit version of any of the distributions i have tried yet.

I am a bit of a noob when it comes to Linux but i do the best i can.

Also, i am able to run Ubuntu 11.04 fine.

I hope i provided enough detail. thank you in advance for anyone who replies to this thread.

So - you did get something, to work :)

- it does sound to be a video issue, though.
- can you get into the low graphics, mode - with any of those O/Ss ?.

usually a line or two, below the 1st / default line - that it boots from.

Your mobo uses UEFI. I guess installation procedure differs on UEFI motherboards from the usual ones (with BIOS).
I know nothing about linux installation on uefi motherboards. My mobo is old. :^)

If 11 works and 12 doesn't then it isn't a uefi deal. 12 fully supports uefi.

Boot to safe mode and try it.

Or check download of iso with md5 and burn on best quality disk at slowest speed and try again. A new system should not care too much about how the disk was burned but you never know.
