Init Scripts are broken problem while mounting the hard disk partitions using ntfsmou
The Follwoing error comes when i use
# ntfsmount /dev/sdb5 /mnt/E NOTE: If you had not scheduled check and last time accessed this volume using ntfsmount and shutdown system properly, then init scripts in your distribution are broken. Please report to your distribution developers (NOT to us!) that init scripts kill ntfsmount or mount.ntfs-fuse during shutdown instead of proper umount. Mount failed. |

If this is a machine that you dual boot with Windows the problem could be that windows wasn't shut down cleanly the last time you used it. If it is not, then the problem could be a power outage or some problem in the shutdown (init) scripts as the message tells you. I'd try searching in the CentOS forums (or whatever your distribution of choice is). If the init scripts are buggy someone else has to have noticed it for sure. |
