Increase default time to select OS


i have dual os in my system (linux and windows ), when i start the system it take's 2 secons to selet one os only how can i increase waing seconds when i start system.

To answer you question we need information which bootloader (Grub, Grub2, LILO, sys/extlinux, ...) you use. If you don't know that it would help to know which distribution (Ubuntu, Mint, Fedora, Slackware, ...) you are using.
