Question I Can't Install this dang Ubuntu


Ok here is what i'm running on right now!
i have a 233 with a pentumm II duo core with windows ME
I wanna run Linux ubuntu v. 8.10 but i can't get it to install
I have tryed re-ordering my boot order and tryed the press f8 or f12 and it won't work, my grandfather, who is a computer tech, and i have also tryed running it straight from dos! but still no luck some how i got a message saying too many parameters to cover! someone help and give me step-by-step instructions plz!

They made PII dual cores?

You need to get into the BIOS and boot from CD, right? What kind of PC do you have? Did you search the web for how to get into the BIOS for that type of PC?

you got it to work on a system that does not meet the minimum requirements!? Ubuntu requires a bare minimum of a 300MHz processor... yours is 233MHz...
