I've got this artefact on my screen. Any idea on how to remove it?
Hello guys,
I've got what I would call an "artefact" on my screen that won't go away (bottom right). It's slowing everything down. I've got so many tasks running that I can't afford to reboot right now. It probably appears after some application crashed. I can't remember which one. Any idea how to solve this problem? small size: http://img11.hostingpics.net/thumbs/...78snapshot.jpg original: http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/847678snapshot.jpg Cheers ! (openSuse 11.4, KDE4.6) |
Did you try to kill the task?

Have you tried using the system monitor tool to kill the task running in the background? |
Well, I used "top" and "ps ax" but I can't seem to see what's causing this... :/

Case closed. I found which app was causing the problem and force-killed it :) Cheers !

probably xkill could have been used in your case, but too late to check it. Just in case you need it again....
