How to Upgrade RHEL 4 to 5 in VMware Workstation 6
 
Hi,

I have created one virtual m/c i.e. RHEL 4 & now I want to upgrade it to RHEL 5.4

Dose anybody know how to upgrade it in VMware workstaion??

well the fact that it's in vmware is irrelevant. A server is a server. It's never a good idea to upgrade server distros. Do the responsible thing and rebuild it from scratch. Fairly sure that the installer for rhel5 does cover upgrades, but again, it's generally not a good idea.

You know, why don't you just use the iso of a RHEL 5.5 DVD, attach that as a cd and boot your virtual machine to the virtual cdrom? It will ask if you wish to upgrade and you can follow the instructions as provided by the installer. acid_kewpie is correct though, the fact that it is virtual doesn't change anything except that you will be required to reinstall the vmware tools.
