i download fluxbox and i install it .
but i don't know how to open it .or from where i can access it .

isn't it in your sessions menu.. for the type of environment you want yoru session to be, gnome kde etc..

No, i didn't find it in the session menu .

I've moved your questions to their own thread. How did you install Fluxbox? If you used the Mandriva packages, then an entry for the Fluxbox session should have been made for you in your login manager.

no, i didn't use the mandriva package . i download a tar file then open it with ark then start installation but after i type make .
this appears in the end of installation

i have a silly question (i am still newbie ): What will happen if i delete the folder of fluxbox that i install and didn't work ?

Nothing. Its safe to remove the fluxbox directory.

I'm guessing you installed fluxbox-1.Orc2. For some reason, this is not installing in the sessions menu. What you can do though is leave it be and install the fluxbox _0.9.15.1-1 . This will put a choice in the sessions menu, and 1.0.rc will stioll come up as the default version.
