How to programmatically (via shell script) hide gnome-panel(s)?

Hi all.

How can we programmatically hide the gnome-panels (I am right now on Fedora-14).
I guess a shell-script would be the way to go to do this programmatically :)

Of course, using "Right click" -> "Properties" -> "Show hide buttons" does the job via manual-intervention.

Looking forward for any pointers to doing this programmatically :)

Thanks and Regards,
Ajay

I assume you mean gnome2 panels. This may have some useful information.
