how to make programs run when system is up?


Hey all,

I wanted to ask,
how can i make programs like gmail notifier to start when i log in?

There are many ways, you can add the name of the app to your /etc/rc.local or /your_home_folder/.bash_profile. If you are using gnome desktop, you can add it to System Main Menu -> Preferences -> More Preferences -> Sessions.
