FIRST a question ?
have you searched YOUR PAID FOR tech support https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/...hButton=Search click on "How can I install the 3D accelerated nVidia drivers?" https://access.redhat.com/kb/docs/DOC-5259 and log in to red hat with your account user/password you got from red hat when you bought your license !!! -- for the nvidia.run driver --- If your card is a new one ( you did not state what card you have) what errors , if any, do you get from the 256 nvidia.run from the nvidia page when you install it IN TEXT only mode -- NO gui running ONLY the text 1)download the driver ( for new cards -- i have NO IDEA WHAT YOUR CARD IS -- so this MIGHT BE THE WRONG DRIVER ) 32 bit ??? you might need the 64 bit ????? - i do not know if YOU are using 32 bit or 64 bit RHEL ???? -- 32 bit-- http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux-d...53-driver.html and SAVE it to / 2)boot into TEXT ONLY - is per the instructions 3) cd / sh *.run -- or -- sh ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-256.53-pkg1.run --- then fallow the onscreen instructions ( as per the install instructions ) |

Second, nVidia has complete install docs on their website, along with the drivers, did you look?? And as John pointed out...if you're not paying for RHEL support, you won't be able to run ANY updates, since you're not paying for them. Install CentOS or another open distro... |
hi TB0ne this was one of the rare ones that i did not add that normal comment ( i think i have it o a text file someplace for quick "copy/paste" )
and ranvir03 the instructions are on the nvidia site AND the redhat site |
