How to get 5.1 channel audio on back panel and all channel mixed stereo on headphone
Hi, I have been using Exclusively linux (mdv) continuously since almost 3 years.. and recently made new system with ASUS M5A78l-M-LX mobo.. (has realtek ALC 883 integrated)and switched over to SUSE 12.1.. and now 5.1 Channel sound works Out of Box without workarounds in suse 12.1 (Couldn't get it to do so properly in Mandriva).
Now i have my 6 channel speakers permanently connected to back panels.
I am an nocturnal creature.. and want to be able to listen to all 6 channels sound mixed to my headset WITHOUT changing config in Phonon.
As of now it directs only front Right and Front Left channel sound into my headset.. and while watching documentaries sometimes olny music will play and commenting Voice is totally missing..
I want to be able to hear everything without changing Phonon configuration to analogue stereo duplex..
Is it possible?? or its best simply to switch over to Analogue stereo Duplex in Phonon??
My previous mobo had ALC 887 and separate jack for all 6 channels output and no work around was needed and As far I remember, i used to be able to hear ll the sounds in 5.1+ stereo input mode.
Thanks.
