How to - Configure Folder Redirection for users Desktop / My Docs folder in linux

Hi
I use folder redirection with roaming profiles for our Windows environment. I would like to apply the same settings to my Centos workstations.
What I would like to achieve is when a user logs into our Centos machine the users Desktop & My Docs folders are redirected to our Windows file server. I imagine some config changes in smb.conf or fstab may be an option...
Does anyone have a similar setup or know how best to achieve this?
Thanks in advance
