how to change KDM resolution

After i installed the fglrx driver, X uses the 1600x1200 resolution in KDM. i can use that resolution but i would like to have it 1280x1024. My gpu is Radeon 9250. Kubuntu

As I understand it, kdm will use the same resolution as the X server default, the same as all the users have when they log in. To change this, log in, select "System Settings" from the KDE menu, choose "Monitor & Display", and change to Administrator Mode (the button at the bottom). You should then be able to change the resolution.

If you want kdm to have a different resolution to the user desktops, I don't know if it's possible.
