How to add cursor trails to GNOME

I run openSUSE 10.2 with the GNOME desktop. I have a very small screen and the mouse isn't very easy to spot. Is there some way I can add cursor trails as seen in Windows 95?

There may be a cursor with trails packaged as a theme. You can snoop around GnomeLook.org to see. In the meantime, though... there's an option in Main Menu --> System --> Preferences --> Mouse --> Pointers tab that will highlight the cursor on the screen for you when you press CTRL. It's pretty visible, even to my over 40 eyes. Give it a try.

Luck!

Have you thought about adding Geyes to your panel? If you've not come across it it's an applet that follows your mouse movements, making it easyier to keep track of where the cursor is. Not the same, blatantly, but a helpful little toy for those of us who can't always find their cursor!
