How do I remove KDE panel

Hello all,

How do I remove the panel from KDE? I'm using version 3.5.2.

I don't know how to remove it, but it can be easily hidden - Control Panel-Desktop-Panel

I don't think its possible to remove the panel, and there isn't much point
