It seemed to fix itself :|. I can't replicate the problem now so I guess there's nothing I can do.

I'm using KDE4.1 beta 2 and saw the same behavior. It turns out that that checkbox is disabled when the focus policy is either "Focus Under Mouse" or "Focus Strictly Under Mouse."
