How do i change my login manager ?

I have downloaded login manager themes (.tar.gz archive) from 'http://art.gnome.org/themes/gdm_greeter/'

I am using Gnome 2.22.1 on fedora 9. How do i install these themes . There doesn't seem to be any option to change login screen in System->Preferences or System->Administration. (This is the suggested method in gnome.org forum/faq)

Is there a command to do this in the terminal; Or any scripts to be edited.

Thanks in advance.

in fedora 9 there is NO gui or CLI to do that
might be fixed in fedora 10 ?
but you can use KDM if KDE is installed

This may help;

Fedora uses a new bleeding-edge GDM that doesn't support themes yet. Fortunately, you can easily downgrade to Fedora 8's GDM.
