How do I add additional virtual desktops in vtwm?

You know how you can switch between different virtual desktops in other window managers? I want that for VTWM and by that I mean not one big desktop but desktop 1, 2, 3, etc. How would I accomplish this in VTWM? Reason: I made it a challenge to make the VTWM desktop as slick and awesome as possible, which includes using eye candy programs such as Cairo Composition Manager and a nifty program called 3D-Desktop for switching effects. I made both work on VTWM however when running 3ddesk it gives me only one desktop that spins around itself, plus I would like to have dedicated desktops for say music production, video editing, office work, etc. Anyone can give me some advice?

vtwm does not have 'desktops' in the classic sense, that is the design. ctwm has desktops though.

in 'pure' vtwm one can fake desktops, but I doubt that will help with what you want to do. This 'faking' only allows one to assign a key to allow you to jump to another position in the panner.

1. see 'doors' in the vtwm manual.

2. Create a function and assign to a key, this is what I do.
