How can I copy my Gnome desktop configuration to another machine?

Our Gnome desktop configuration has a panel with several custom launchers. We also have several machines that need this same desktop configuraton. Is there a way to copy a Gnome desktop configuration from one machine to other machines so that they do not all have to have the desktop re-created manually?

Thank you.

I did not try it yet, but it should work if you copy the directory .gnome and .gnome2 in your homedirectory to the homedirectory on the new pc.

Not a gnome user but I would guess the info needed is under .gnome or .gnome2 and others releted to gnome under the user account that contains the custum menus. You can try copy these subdirectories under the user account to the other user account and then apply owership and groupship to the directories and its files within it. First I would create a new user account and apply the contents to it to test it out.

Thank you, Brian and Jefke.

I tried copying the .gnome and .gnome2 folders to the new machine. The launchers are in the right folders, but for some reason they are not visible in the panel... Any ideas on how to make them visible?

I appreciate your help.
