Help! Acrobat Reader doesnt work

My linux system system is debian based. I downloaded AdbeRdr70_linux_enu.tar.gz and installed it. I changed the install directory in the acroread file. And copied it in /usr/bin/. But when i run the command acroread in terminal, the Acrobat Reader just comes up and suddenly it goes. Is this any dependency problem? Do i have to insatll any other package also?

DEbian based or Debian?

Try using the debian-multimedia.org repo then just do apt-get install acroread.

There are other pdf readers as well like kprf, gpdf, xpdf, evince.
