GRUB: Error 22

Hey Guys and Girls of Linux,

So in order to clear some room up on my over used harddrive I deleted a partition containing Ubuntu, not really thinking it through that GRUB would freak out on reboot. So here I am, I cant log onto windows nor ubuntu as it gets stuck on the GRUB error screen. I know the fix is to insert a windows disk or a linux disk and boot from cd. But, I just moved back into my college dorm and seem to have not brought my cd's with me. Is it possible to put Ubuntu on a thumbdrive and then install it that way? I'm downloading the ISO right now, I'm assuming i just burn that ISO image over to the thumbdrive as if it were a CD? Your insight would help, as assumptions aren't the best way to solve problems, it occasionally makes things worse. My ISP is sending someone over tomorrow to deal with my network, but without my desktop working, this could lead to some issues.

Help Please!

and Thanks ahead of time.

You can try to use Unbootin to install it on a thumb drive.
