Gnome theme messes up my KDE...

Hello,

I'm new to Linux and I installed both Ubuntu and Kubuntu, I like both. I first decided to install a Gnome theme and it went fine. But now I'm facing problems when I use KDE...

I have the AWN dock in Gnome and now it's also in KDE, is there any way for it to only start when I log-in to Gnome?

It also seems like my compiz window settings(title bar) are the same in both Ubuntu and Kubuntu.

Is there anyway to fix these problems besides installing gnome and kde on 2 different partitions?

Thank you.

I made a mistake when posting, and deleted it.
