Gnome Shell delete goes back to CTRL+Del after reboot
In Gnome 3+ the default delete (move to trash) combination is CTRL + DEL. In order to change this, I need to use dconf-editor and set the variable can_change_accels to modify it to just DEL. However, upon reboot the combination is back to CTRL + DEL.
How could I save it permanently? I'm running Wheezy if that matters. |
Check if ~/gnome3/accels exists. If it does not, create it. Check if (gtk_accel_path "<Actions>/DirViewActions/Trash" "Delete") is set accordingly in ~/.config/nautilius/accels

I have read about that fix already some time ago, but it didn't work. In my case (Debian) there are just .gnome and -gnome2. Neither of them have the accels file, but whether I create it or not, it's the same. The file is empty even if I log out and log in again.
Anyway, tried to create gnome3/accels, same result. |
