Smile gnome-shell- error in fedora 20 - solution

I ran Fedora 20 64-bit Live on my i5 64-bit PC and it ran fine. Gnome desktop worked fine. I ran install from live and when I logged in Gnome desktop would not start and generated an error message, " a problem occurred with gnome-shell- " and the system required me to logout and log back in.

Ctrl-Alt-F2 into tty2
yum update gnome* xorg* taglib*

Log back in ... Gnome should work

My problem has always been drivers which in debian required firmware-linux.
Anyway I will try your solution next time I experience that problem.

desktop, gnome
