gnome-panel bg-color problem
hallo,
I've got a problem with the background color of my Ubuntu 8.10 gnome-panel. In fact with my previous used gtk+ theme (a brown colored oriented theme), the background color of my panel was a shiny brown, but, now that I've changed the GTK+ theme (with a gray oriented theme, named GTK Mythbuntu) I need to change the background color of my panel with a grey one but unfortunately...I cannot remove the old brown system color of my previous used gtk theme. It seems impossible to remove. the very strange think is that if I set the bg color of the panel as the system default one, the system use the same old brown one, instead of the new grey bg color I aspect with my new gtk used theme...and the brown color now looks very bed, in a grey contest...:-( is there anyone that already met and solved this problem and ccclean the old bg color of my paaanel? thank you in advance. |
Hi,
As I don't use Gnome so I don't know how to solve this but I do know how to cheat it ;) Use background image instead. If you want a good selection go to kde-look.org, to 'kicker backgrounds' section. There will be hundreds of them. Choose one to your liking - and you can always use Gimp to improve it even further. |
