Since the time, has it been further developments on the topic /field ?
the themes are nice of gnome, but not very well devlped windows manager.

Gnome is a desktop environment, not a Window Manager. (Think "Metacity".) It is intended to be minimal.

You are obviously in a different marketplace. There are more full-featured DTEs (and WMs) out there, just use one of those.

If you want to know about gnome developments, try the project page. If you mant to know what has happened concerning this thread topic, try following the link in post #16, then you'll know as much as the rest of us.
