GLib error on boot up-Ubuntu 10.10

When I boot Ubuntu 10.10 RC I get the following error and a freeze:

(process 486) GLib- warning**: get pwvid-r(): failed due to unknown user id(0)

I got this after downloading the updates on Oct 4.
Thanks for the help.

ps- this doesn't happen when I boot into the recovery "low graphics" mode.

I get an error like that too, but then it just keeps booting normally. I'm not sure why it appears.

resolved

I wound up reinstalling my NVIDIA driver. And the problem was automagically fixed. Go figure. I will say that get that NVIDIA driver in there was a pain in the butt.
Who decided to put the Nouveau drivers in the kernel ?
