I got rid of windows and am using Ubuntu for about a month.
So I still am learning many things.
So far, I managed without major problems.
Now I've got a question on GKrellM's mailcheck feature
which I cannot fix.
I want GKrellM to check my mailaccount for new mails and
alert me when there are new mails, no more no less.
No starting of my email client (thunderbird), no
download of mails (I will do that on my command using
thunderbird) or whatever.
My email account is a pop3 account with my local ISP.
I tried different configurations so far.
Can somebody tplease ell me what exactly I have to configure
for this simple (?) task.

Ok I have exactly that on mine - on the Setup page check Enable Mailcheck and have just the Mail Reading Program completed - in my case thunderbird. In the Mailboxes page click Remote mailbox and complete required fields, in my case everything except IMAP folder and click new. In the Options page check new, and thats it. You can then click on the grellm when it indicates new mail and thunderbird opens.
