gDesklets Weather config

I am trying to get a gDesklet for weather to work, but it is always set on Tokyo, Japan and when I type in my City and Country, it says retrieval failed. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing, its just that the one who developed that stupid thing didn't sleep all night until he had finished developing it and probably he dreamed of ..., enough!!

It is just stupid.

Moved: This thread is more suitable in Linux-Desktop and has been moved accordingly to help your thread/question get the exposure it deserves.

Are you sure your city is supported? Try with capital of your country first.

To shrikant.odugoudar: the comment was unnecessary.

Is there any other type of desktop candy that I can use to display the weather?

Ok kalabanta what i meant was I've tried in every possible way including modifying the source code itself but nothing ever happens with that desklet. I dunno why she thought like that.

As for others, here maybe some links http://www.google.com/linux?hl=en&q=...t+&btnG=Search

State capital may be a good try. The thing is that only a limited number of sources is provided and you need to find the closest to your location.

Mine is a state capital Mara, infact Bangalore's more than that, yet the desklet refuses to recognise it.
