Frustration At Friends Reunited Unable To Send To Newly Discovered Old Friend!?*

Hi!

I've been a full member of Friends Reunited for about a week and have always had great difficulty in sending anything from there. However, three very small notes did actually make it, which led me to believe that it had something to do with the size of mail that I wished to send as all the others (same repeated attempts over and over again + one other) had been considerably larger and had previously only partially sent.

Now, I've discovered someone that I would desperately like to contact after many, many years only to find that nothing whatsoever will send!

However I have noticed, having tried with Opera, Firefox, Seamonkey, Epiphany, Konquoror and in shear frustration even Dillo that Seamonkey, Epiphany and Konquoror all display the message:

HappyFR error '800a9c68'

Application-defined or object-defined error

/SiteMail.asp, line 14

Obviously I've checked Google for this message, but it would only recognise error '800a9c68' and there seems to be a plethora of possibilities over all operating systems i.e. Windows included.

I've been in touch with the Friends Reunited 'Techies' and they insist that it must be due to an old browser, wheras Opera, my usual browser of choice is definitely bang up to date. I'm still using Suse 9.3 which I still don't personally feel has been bettered for reliability etc., but I can't imagine for a moment that this can be in any way culpable, naturally this is also bang up to date.

Can someone please help as I'm going up the wall after hours and hours of trial and error.

I'm afraid that I've also posted this under Linux General.

Looking forward very much to some help.

Best Wishes to all.

Graham.
