Free Disk Space In KDE?
I have a netbook with a 4 GB HD. I love KDE but I'm seeing nowhere that shows me the available space on my HD! I'd like to not have to rely on a plasma widget or df- it just seems like information that should be easily accessible via Dolphin.
Am I not looking in the right places? |
Hello,
It is available in Dolphin. Don't select any folders or files, just right click in a blank space inside Dolphin and next on Properties. At the bottom of the window that opens you'll see device information mentioning free space. Kind regards, Eric |
This Is What You Are Looking For
To always show the disk space available for the current folder:
Settings > Configure Dolphin > General > Status Bar > Show Space Information This displays 2 things in 1: text stating how much is free, and a bar graph showing how much is used. If you want to see text of how much total space you have then you can right click ... |
If you have some space and have root permissions, you may want to install Filelight, it is a great KDE app to help you to see where your file space has gone.
