Fluxbox menu can't set transparency?
 
Hi folks
i useing Fluxbox-1.0-rc3 .when i set menu & toolbar transparency but it doesn't work. what happened to Fluxbox :confused: hope somebody can help me....thanks

First off you have to identify if you want pseudo or real transparency. Most likely you are trying to accomplish pseudo transparency. In this instance most of the time the problem comes with the tool that sets the background image.

What are you using to set your background image? When I used Fluxbox I used Esetroot and I was able to accomplish transparency fine.

Google for the fluxbox-wiki, that is a very informative site and it has at least one article on transparency.

i want to pseudo transparency because i just olny set menu & toolbar transparency.

i used fbsetbg set the background image. but i will use Esetroot try later.

Hmmm... Interesting... Then it appears you must have a different problem. It must be something to do with the configuration of X, or your video drivers I imagine.

Using Esetroot has always worked for me.

thanks for you patient replied my question. your imagine is right. i ran xorgconfig configure my X then ran startx .it got me a big surprised.menu & toolbar can set transparency.i still useing NVIDIA driver .i think this is not graphics card problem. anyway thanks again:p
