Flash Videos beep-beep-beep Audio

On Debian Testing I can play movies and videos just fine, but when Flash content the audio gives this blip-blip-blip sound, twice every second. For example, when I play this. Sample attached. (please rename to .ogg) Audio clip sounds like it's in a tunnel, for some reason, but my sound sounds fine.

I have flashplugin-nonfree (1:2.8.3) installed, and I assume that's the one it's using. I did have the gnash installed as well, but have deinstalled that. Any idea what's wrong?

Also regarding audio: my dad made a DVD in his appliance DVD recorder, and the video works fine but audio is silent. How do I find out what codec it needs, and how to enable it?
