Firefox print does only shows lpr and "to file", not other printers configged in cups

Hi all,

I think the title says it all
I wonder what is wrong but I only see lpr and printing to file when I use the print dialog in firefox.
I can make it work if I use kprinter but that is not a fix but a workaround.

I expect firefox to see the printers configured through cups and list them in the print dialog.

Does anyone knows what wrong?

Try File - Page Setup. Can you select your Cups-configured printer there/

I did solve this
I am using Gentoo linux and had both cups and -cups in my USE variable.
Probably the component that needed the cups use flag was gtk as firefox is based on it.

So anyone who gots this problem, either your USE variable is not set correctly (if using Gentoo) or you got a package distributed compiled without cups support.

I hope this helps someone else!
