Firefox 2.0.0.3 Crashes on loading *.SWF files
Hello!
I recently downloaded Firefox's latest addition 2.0.0.3 on my RHL 9.0 machine. I just counter an error that when I tried to load a webpage saved on my local HDD that plays a Flash file e.g: movie.swf It suddenly crashes and close without any notification. The webpage works all right on M$ XP and flash player plugin is also installed in Firefox n I can see the movie playing for 2 sec. Firefox works well except this. Did anyone has an idea about it? OS: RHL 9.0 Desktop: GNOME Application: Firefox v2.0.0.3 |
Are you running the latest flash 9 ??
|
Yep It could be.
I installed flash plugin through Firefox itself. When it showa "Install missing plugin" link n installs the missing plugin itself frm net.. i hope it would be the lstest..

Mustafa^Qasim,
You can check your installed plugins by opening Firefox and typing aboutplugins (put a colon between about and plugins...no spaces) in the URL field...then press enter. All plugins installed should be listed... Also...If you are running RH9 you might want to upgrade to a newer one like Fedora Core 6 as RH9 is no longer supported with patchs, security updates etc... Opera and Konqueror don't seem to have this problem. |
Thanx all of u .. m gonna search for an older version which suits my RHL 9

the Firefox 2.0 browser installation on my Mandriva 2007 was unstable with Flash 9.0. I went back to Firefox 1.5.08 with the Flash 9.0 and the browser became more steady. Firefox or Flash problem ?

I am also running Firefox 2.0.0.3 with flash 9 on Mandriva 2007....runs perfect...just watched Global TV re-runs with no problems at all.....very smooth sound and video.
I also use it for some online crosswords and games....same thing....no problem. Quote:
