Fedora 23 with OpenVPN files

I just installed Fedora 23 and would like to setup my VPN. My VPN provider has provided all the .openvpn files for all their servers. I have gone into the network manager thing and said "Import VPN", selected the file and it loads properly. I put it my username and password and click connect. All it ever says is could not connect to server.

If I open terminal and use the command openvpn and point to the .openvpn file it asks for user name and password then connects fine. What am I doing wrong?
