fc15 gnome3 desktop
 

Hey,
I am a Linux oldbie ('01) having trouble deleting desktop icons on fc15 gnome3's desktop...specifically 2 duplicate "nautilus" and one duplicate "edit menu."
My problem may be a buggy config-editor, or just my ignorance on how to use it.
If anyone can walk me through the process for getting rid of one nautilus icon, I'd welcome the help.

Are you referring to the dashboard icons or actual links placed by you on the desktop ?

If they are on the dashboard, simply drag the desired icon and a trash can appears at the bottom of the dash. Drag the icon to it.

My icons, system generated icons...no way to delete them. Right click shows nothing. And bye the way there is no "Trash" folder shown. I think I may do with a lesson on how the new config-editor works..."Trash" is checked but no easy way to set up the name.
