Question Evolution's attachments comes as .dat instead .gif and other

Hi all
I start to use an Evolution mail client under SuSE 10.0 and encountered with a problems.
Firts problem: My replies on letters of my friends come to them as attachments and I don't know why. My friends use an Microsoft Outlook under Windows XP.
Second one: If I attach a .gif or .doc or any other file and send this letter to some of my friends working under Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express they receive .dat file. They have to save it to HDD and rename to read or view.
Thank you for you attention.

1) Under Tools --> Settings (or similar, I may be using a different version of Evolution than you), go to "Composer Preferences" and change the "Reply style:" drop down box to "Quote Original Message"

2) No idea, never had that happen...

1) I have a more accurate info now. Then I "reply" on any message it is OK. But If I reply on a message and sign a message (using my gpg signature) then a recipient receives a message as attachment.
