error while building gnome-panel
 

I've download code for gnome-panel for ubuntu 7.1.

As per instructions I just executed ./configure script and I'm getting following errors. Any idea how to fix this ?

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables PANEL_CFLAGS
and PANEL_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.

Install the missing packages.

On Ubuntu, as well as other binary-based distros, you will have to install the development files, not just the runtime files. The development files come in a separate package with the same name as the binary package, but have -dev or -devel appended. For example, to install the runtime files for libglade, you would install libglade2 and to install the development files you would install libglade2-dev.

Thanks.. I just did apt-get biuld-dep gnome-panel and it installed every thing to build gnome-panel source code.
