Disk error 80, AX = 4200, drive 9F

Hello!
"Loading isolinux: Disk error 80, AX = 4200, drive 9F", together with a panel "I/O error Error reading boot CD "Reboot"", is what I obtained with an Ubuntu 6.06CD.
My processor is Sempron 3000, the mother is Asus M2NPV-VM
I burnt the CD in a G40 Notebook, from a file ubuntu-6.06.1-desktop-i386.iso, revised OK with Hashtab. Burned with ImgBurn 2.1, error messages appears at 2-3 seconds; with CD Burner XP Pro, 10 - 15 sec. The CD-DVD driver is a new LG.
Can anybody help me?

Excuse my English, please.

Obvously, the CD is damaged! Burn a new one.

Not so obviously

same error here with 6 cds and 4 distros different.

i think its something related to the bios or related to the new kernel versions. Old distros (kernel < 2.6.18 ) run ok.

"Obviously", a word that I don't precisely like. Nevermind, it's not that obvious, check your drive, it might be too old to run that isolinux image, I'm talking from experience, at least that was my case. I got another cd drive and the image works perfect, not that I burnt another copy...

I hope it helped, as I came here looking for a not so obvious answer.

Problem resolved

In my case, the problem was an improperly burned CD. Thank you for all.
