/dev/lp0 permissions keep changing...

Recently we hav migrated to RHEL4AS. We have user logins like reap,
swat. The problem is whenever we reboot the system the permissions of /
dev/lp0 (line printer) is changing. So everytime we are changing the /
dev/lp0 permissions thru root using chmod 777 /dev/lp0.

We got a solution to this by adding the above command in /etc/profile.
But whenever we login thru feap it is giving an error message like /
dev/lp0 changing permissions not allowed but it is changing the
permissions.

Is there any smooth solution for this?

Why the /dev/lp0 permissions are changed with every reboot?

###

I am giving the /etc/udev/udev.permissions:
for lp devices... of my server.

#lp devices

lp*:root:lp:0660
parport*:root:lp:0660
irlpt*:root:lp:0660
usblp*:root:lp:0660
usb/lp*:root:lp:0660

We have connected our line printer thru /dev/lp0

Is there any wrong with the permissions.
