Danish national characters disappeared in amsn and pidgin
 

Suddenly my Danish characters æøåÆØÅ disappeared in amsn and pidgin.
I'm able to receive the Danish characters, and I'm able to copy/paste Danish characters to the input dialog window and send the characters correctly in a chat, but I'm not able to enter the Danish characters directly from the keyboard to the input dialog window.

The last thing I installed before this error was skype-2.1.0.81-fc10.i586, as far as I remember. I uninstalled skype again because it complained about a libXsso library (as far as I recall).

The Danish characters can be entered from the keyboard in all other applications (terminal windows, browsers, mail etc.)

I'm running fc12 2.6.32.21-166.fc12.x86_64, and I have not had this problem before.

Can anybody help?

I solved it myself by making /usr/local/bin/amsn which contains:
#------------
LANG=ISO-8859-1 /usr/bin/amsn
#------------

Not a very nice solution but it works.
