Creating an encrypted archive
 
I'm using Fedora 17, what I would like to do is to create an archive (zip format) of my home folder that is encrypted. I know there's a number of utilities in Linux but I'm looking for a best practices type advice.

zip has weak encryption, try 7zip instead.
