Question Create and Save File Server Shortcut

I'm using Gnome 2.32 and I would like to know if there's a way to create and save a SMB shortcut on my ~/Desktop? I can create it in Nautilus if I open it and run smb://server/share and it stays on my desktop until I reboot or logout but I would like to save it there regardless. Is this possible?

See this post - http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-fstab-461202/
It should point you in the right direction. Setting up the icon once you have the drive (share) automounting is trivial, just create a link .
