control lxde startup programs
Hello. How can I control which programs are started up with lxde? With fluxbox, there's a /home/mark/.fluxbox/startup file, but there isn't a similar file with lxde. I checked the $HOME/.config/openbox file, but I didn't find anything there. So, does anyone know how a user can control which programs are started up with lxde? I use Debian Lenny.

lxsession-edit - configure what application start up automaticlly in LXDE
Use lxsession-edit or you can put the .desktop of whatever app you want to autostart in /home/username/.config/autostart |
Code:
mark@debian:~$ lxsession-edit ____ * If so, that's kinda irritating. I much prefer the fluxbox approach to this. |
I did manage to get lxsession-edit to work, but it's kind of limited. So, I guess that putting desktop files in the ~/.config/autostart directory is the way to go (and creating the desktop files manually, if need be). As I said previously, I much prefer the fluxbox approach to this.
