Question Control Center not displaying Gadmin-Proftpd applet

Hi everyone! Thanks for checking this out.

Running Mate on Mint 12

Control Center is the equiv of Control Panel, and I installed samba along with the gadmin-samba package. This added an entry to the Control Center that allowed me to access config for samba thru the Control Center.

Later, I installed proftpd and gadmin-proftpd, assuming this would also add an applet to the menu. Unfortunately, it did not! The only way I can get to it is running sudo gadmin-proftpd, but I really want the applet to display in the Control Center..
/edit: Also, the gadmin-proftpd program does NOT work very well at all when run as $ sudo gadmin-proftpd. Adding new users doesn't work right, log files can't be written to, it just seems extremely buggy.. I don't think it should be this buggy

Any help would be much loved!
