Continuous attached documents for xsane

Hello all, my Win only Visioneer finially died, so I did a little research and got a Cannon LiDE 60. This works great under sane, and was an absolute snap to install with Yast under Suse 10.1.

Now I have the scanner working great - But I need some help here. I always used Adobe Acrobat Prof. under Winderz to scan docements because it allowed me to make multiple scans of - say my EE homework, and lab work. I was then able to save that entire set of scans as one document.

I see Sane does allow me to save my scans as just about any standard format I want. My question is - how do I save a {set} of pdf scans as one document so I can keep them organized? It is definitely cumbersome to name every page.

Does anyone know of a method to do this with Xsane, a plugin, or . . . for Linux?

Thanx
